An exciting initiative launched for the children of Uttar Pradesh
The fun, laughter and learning of the much-love dedutainment show,Galli Galli Sim Sim, the Indian adaptation of the world-renowned Sesame Street,now continue beyond the television. Sesame Workshop India (SWI), the educational organization behind Galli Galli Sim Sim today launched an exciting initiative for the children of Uttar Pradesh (UP). SWI will conduct engaging activities in schools across UP to extend the learning of the show to the children in schools. The activities will be conducted in selected schools of Lucknow, Agra, Mathura, Meerut, Kanpur and other cities of UP. So, educators and parents can encourage their kids to participate in these interesting activities which promote play-based learning.
In addition to the activities in schools, children can always catch the show on DD National every Monday to Friday, 3 - 4 PM and on Saturday at 10:30 AM. The show has a bouquet of special episodes which motivate kids to learn new words, numbers and number concepts, stay happy and healthy, identify and express emotions, learn executive function skills like problem-solving, perseverance, self-regulation, etc. and even dance on foot-tapping covers of Bollywood dance tracks adapted in Galli Galli Sim Sim style.
Sesame Workshop India has also brought an exciting opportunity for children to win attractive gift hampers* from Galli Galli Sim Sim. Every day there will be a question shown whose answer will be hidden in the show itself.
