Introduces Nutrilite women’s range - specialized
nutritional supplements for modern Indian women
Amway India Enterprises Pvt Ltd, India’s

announced a new range of
products in women’s health category under its flagship nutrition and wellness
category Nutrilite. Nutrilite contributes more than50 % to
revenues with the revenue share amounting Rs. 1200 Crores. range of products in
women’s health category under its flagship nutrition and wellness category Nutrilite. The new range offers specialized
supplements as “Nutrilite Hair Skin and Nails”, “Nutrilite Tri-Iron & Folic”,“Nutrilite Black Cohosh and Soy” along
with already existing “Nutrilite Calmag
D” and “Nutrilite Bone Health with Ipriflavone”.
As per
various industry study on women’s health status revealed few facts such as 53%
of working women skip meals and go for junk food, 33% women worry about
thinning and greying of hair, Nearly three fourth (75%) of women in India are
anemic, One-fifth of women age 40-41 have reached menopause, One third of women in India suffer from osteoporosis, 60% of
Indian working women between the age of 30 & 40 have symptoms of
exhaustion, irritability & insomniaetc. Keeping these factors in mind, this new range is targeted at both
working and non-working women addressing the nutritional requirements across life
stageshelping themmaintain a perfect balance between health, wellbeing and
daily activities.
Announcing the launch of the
new category, Mr. Achinta Banerjie
said, “Over the past years, the lifestyle
of Indian women has undergone substantial transformation.Indian women, in their
effort to manage multiple tasks at work and at home, tend to overlook key
aspects of their health and it is here that our new range steps in to address
the nutritional gap and helps them to take charge of their health. At Nutrilite
we have developed these products to meet specific health needs of women and
provide targeted nutrition to support overall health and well-being.”

external beauty and wellness elements of women. The new products are the first
range dedicated to the discerning women consumers of Amway products.”
About the new range:
a) Formulated with powerful
nutrients, Biotin, Collagens,
L-cysteine, Glycine and Grape Seed extracts, Nutrilite Hair Skin and Nailsis
enhances the nail quality, promote the hair health and makes the skin look
better. A pack of 60N tablet is priced at Rs 599.
b) Nutrilite
Tri-Iron & Folic is a
combination of three iron sources including Mustard greens, Vitamin C, Folic
Acid and Acerola Cherry Concentrate, which helps in building better nutritional
components and immunity for the body. Pack of 90N tablet is priced at Rs 899.
c) Nutrilite
Black Cohosh and Soy
supports the overall wellbeing of women during menopause by relieving problems
of hot flushes, night sweats and mood swings, allowing them to age gracefully.
Pack of 90N tablet is priced at Rs 1149.
In addition to these products,
Amway has re-launched Nutrilite CalMag D and Nutrilite Bone Health with
Ipriflavone and categorized both under women’s range. CalMag D is priced at Rs
659 for 90N tablets pack and Bone Health
with Ipriflavone is priced at Rs. 2319 for 60 N tablets pack.
In the year 2012, Amway
clocked a turnover of Rs 2288 crores, registering a little over 7% growth over
the last fiscal when it recorded a turnover of Rs 2130 crores, but adding up to
over 20% CAGR over a 5 year period. Amway recorded a sale of Rs 141 Crore in
the state of Uttar Pradesh. In
line with growing demand for wellness and beauty products, Amway has recently
announced its first Greenfield manufacturing facility in the country in Tamil
Nadu at an estimated investment of Rs 500 crores.
