 January 2013: Bharti Airtel, the leading integrated telecommunications company with operations in 20 countries across Asia and Africa, has spread out an elaborate plan to make the Maha Kumbh a never-before experience for devotees. While the company has enhanced its network at 50 locations in and around Sangam for seamless connectivity in the mela area over the three-month congregation and matchless sound quality, it has introduced an array of plans and value-added services for its valued customers to offer them a real-time Kumbh trip at the comfort of their home.
As a special gift to its all prepaid users on the occasion of Maha Kumbh, Airtel has introduced the 390 Plan which offers full talk-time on a recharge of Rs 390. This service is applicable to all Airtel prepaid customers across India.
Besides, in a special gesture to all its customers in UP East, which is the abode of the Maha Kumbh, Airtel has brought a bouquet of short-term plans which they can conveniently use during their Mela sojourn. The first of these plans, “15 pe 30” offers 30 minutes of  local and STD talk-time for Rs 15 with a two-day validity. The second plan, “25 pe 25” offers full talk-time for Rs 25 with 5 night minutes as a bonus. This plan, too, is valid for two days.
Besides, Airtel has also brought in two special tariff plans only for its customers in UP East.  The first plan offers local calls at just 30 paise per minute for a tariff plan of Rs 27. This plan is valid for 28 days. The second plan, for Rs 29, offers STD calls at 30 paise per minute with a validity of 28 days.   
Airtel has also planned to introduce a number of value-added services, keeping the Maha Kumbh in mind for its customers across India. The Maha Kumbh voice content plan worth Rs 30 offers interactive voice response plan (IVR) for 15 days through which the subscriber can enjoy LIVE Holy Dip at the Sangam, LIVE discourses from various Akharas camping at the Mela site, besides Maha Kumbh Trivia and stories/facts related to one of the biggest religious congregation in the world. Besides, it also offers a wide range of bhajans and mantras, all for Rs 30.
Another special Kumbh recharge pack for Rs.53 offers, besides Rs 40 talk-time, trivia of Kumbh Mela, Facts/Stories of the Mela and Mantras.
Airtel customers using web interface can avail Rs 30 WAP service for 15 days which offers LIVE Holi Dip at the Sangam and Discourses from fabled Akharas who have made mela site their home for the next three months. 
Bharti Airtel has already augmented its services in the Kumbh Mela area by including 50 locations around Sangam in its enhancement plan. The residents of the newly enhanced regions can also benefit from the unmatched quality of Airtel network by using the attractive and value-for-money recharge packs available at Airtel’s retailers in the region for voice and mobile internet service. Airtel customers can also opt for the attractive value added services to make their lives more convenient and enjoyable with its useful and entertaining content in the field of devotion, education, health, Bollywood, sports and much more.
